The Last Judgment in Islamic belief takes place at the end of human history, after the appearance of the Signs of the Apocalypse (ashrāṭ al-sāʿa) and once the dead have been resurrected and ushered to the Place of the Assembly (arḍ al-maḥshar). Unbelievers and sinners are then judged to receive punishment in hell, while the believers are granted paradise to reap eternal reward.
