Muḥammad Muṣaddiq (1882-1967) was prime minister of Iran from 1951 to 1953. He was born into an upper-class family, his father being a senior official, his mother a Qājār princess. At fourteen, he was given the title Muṣaddiq al-Salṭana and became the chief finance officer of Khurāsān province, assisted by two veteran officials.
