This study, using qualitative inquiry, explores the perceptions of Romanian theology students using primarily oral-based teaching methods, such as Bible storying and drama. The use of such methods in theological education is well-documented among low literate cultures, yet less so among literate learners who exhibit a preference for oral learning methods. The purpose of this grounded theory study was to discover how Romanian students in 2 classes at the Bucharest Baptist Theological Institute perceived the use of oral-based teaching methodologies. The research focused on students' understandings about their experience with and overall effectiveness of using oral-based methods in a theological education institution.
