جنگ و نبرد از همان آغاز خلقت بشر با زندگی انسان‌ها عجین بوده است. این امر به گونه‌ای حائز اهمیت است که از همان دیر باز شعرای بزرگ متناسب با احوال درونی خویش شروع به سرودن اشعاری کردند که نبرد‌های روزگار خود یا گذشته را با چاشنی تخیل و اغراق به تصویر کشیده‌اند. نبردها و عوامل به وجود آورندۀ آن‌ها یکی از موضوعات مهم یک اثر حماسی می‌باشد؛ بر اساس این موضوع می‌توان گفت: بخش اعظم «شاهنامۀ حکیم ابوالقاسم فردوسی» و «خاوران‌نامۀ ابن‌حسام خوسفی» مربوط به همین جنگ‌ها و توصیف صحنه‌های نبرد است. این پژوهش با روش مقایسۀ تطبیقی و با هدف (بررسی وجوه اشتراک و افتراق جنگ سروده‌های حکیم ابوالقاسم فردوسی و ابن‌حسام خوسفی) به نگارش درآمده است و به تحقیق و پژوهش در تصویرسازی نبرد‌ها و مسائل مربوط به آن در شعر این دو شاعر پرداخته است؛ این پژوهش درصدد است که صحنه‌های نبرد و توصیف میدان کارزار و جنبه‌های مشترک و متفاوت دیدگاه این دو شاعر از صحنه‌های نبرد را بررسی کند. بررسی‌های موجود نشان می‌دهد که شعر فردوسی از نظر به تصویر کشیدن ماهرانۀ نبرد‌ها و جنبۀ تأثیرگذاری و برخورداری از سلاست و جزالت کلام، در درجۀ بالاتری از شعر ابن حسام خوسفی قرار دارد. درواقع می‌توان حدس زد که ابن حسام خوسفی در توصیف صحنه‌های نبردِ «خاوران‌نامه» توجه ویژه‌ای به «شاهنامۀ» حکیم ابوالقاسم فردوسی داشته است و از دیگر نتایج این مطالعه آن است که نبرد‌های شاهنامه در مجموع علت‌های ملّی داشته است. این در حالی است که در خاوران‌نامه، شاهد جنگ‌های متعدّد هستیم که با اهداف مذهبی میان مسلمانان و کافران در می‌گیرد.

War and battle have been intertwined with human life since the beginning of human creation. This matter is so important that since the beginning, great poets began to write poems in accordance with their inner circumstances, which depicted the battles of their time or the past with imagination and exaggeration. Battles and the factors that cause them are one of the important topics of an epic work; Based on this topic, it can be said that the major part of "Shahnameh of Hakim Abulqasem Ferdowsi" and "Khavaran Nameh of Ibn Hossam Khusfi" are related to these wars and the description of battle scenes. Preliminary investigations show that Ferdowsi's poetry is at a higher level than Ibn Hossam Khusfi's poetry in terms of skillful depiction of battles and the aspect of influence and having the elegance and majesty of words. In fact, it can be assumed that Ibn Hossam Khusfi paid special attention to the "Shahnameh" of Hakim Abulqasem Ferdowsi in describing the battle scenes of "Khavarannameh" and another result of this preliminary study is that the battles of the Shahnameh had national causes. Meanwhile, in Khavaran Nameh, we see many wars that are fought between Muslims and infidels with religious goals. This research aims to examine the battle scenes and description of the battlefield and the common and different aspects of these two poets' views of the battle scenes. This research was written with the method of comparative comparison and with the aim of (investigating the similarities and differences between the war poems of Hakim Abulqasem Ferdowsi and Ibn Hossam Khosfi); and it deals with the research in the depiction of battles and related issues in the poems of these two poets
