This third-edition text carries on the mission of the previous editions (1996, 2006), providing comprehensive, up-to-date coverage. Roughly double the number of pages of the second edition are presented in two volumes, and an included DVD contains 97 videos showing endoscopic procedures from the book. Material is arranged in eight sections on basic principles, percutaneous renal surgery, stone removal, ureteroscopy, shock-wave lithotripsy, stone management, laparoscopy and robotic surgery, image-guided diagnostics and therapeutics, and the lower urinary tract. A long list of contributors prepared 146 chapters under the guidance of the four eminent editors affiliated as follows: Arthur D. Smith (North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System), Gopal H.
