SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
"This book is intended to be a handy reference to the vast literature of inequalities. In it an inequality can be found by its usual name or if this is not known then by subject. The entry consists of a short statement of the result, some comments, references to related inequalities and a list of sources for further information. No expertise is needed as proofs are not given and most inequalities are easily stated using only the most elementary of mathematical terminology. Of course an interest in the field of inequalities, or in using inequalities, is a prerequisite. An attempt has been made to include as many inequalities as possible and yet to keep the size manageable."--Jacket.
