SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
Tite Tiénou, born in Côte 'Ivoire, but currently an émigré presently living and teaching in the United States, examines the integrity of mission in light of the Gospel by exploring the church as African and the implication of this for mission, the meaning of mission in Africa, the place of Africa in the world, the opportunities for the integrity of mission in Africa and the requirement of integrity for the agents of mission. Tiénou believes that mission will be fruitful at the personal and collective level in Africa to the extent that churches and missionaries make integrity a moral and ethical imperative in church and society.
