این مطالعه به بررسی اثر سرمایه‌صگذاری مستقیم خارجی بر صادرات، واردات و صادرات خالص ایران با ۱۱ شریک تجاری اصلی برای مقطع زمانی۱۳۷۳ - ۱۳۸۷در قالب مدل جاذبه و به روش GLS پرداخته‌صاست .نتایج نشان می دهد که علامت تمام ضرایب متغیرهای به‌صکارصبرده شده با انتظارات تئوریک سازگار می‌صباشد .متغیر سرمایه‌صگذاری مستقیم خارجی ایران بر صادرات و خالص‌صصادرات‌ص ایران اثر منفی و معنی‌صداری دارد اما اثر این متغیر بر واردات ایران مثبت و معنی‌صدار است .متغیر تولید ناخالص‌صداخلی ایران و همچنین تولید ناخالص‌صداخلی شرکای تجاری ایران اثر مثبت بر صادرات و خالص‌صصادرات دارد، همچنین مشاهده می‌صشود که فاصلة جغرافیایی کشورها) با ایران یکی از متغیرهای معمول مدل جاذبه(، اثر منفی بر صادرات، واردات و خالص‌صصادرات‌ص دارد لذا هرصچقدر فاصلة جغرافیایی ما بین دو کشور زیاد باشد هزینه‌صهای حمل‌صوصنقل افزایش یافته و کاهش حجم صادرات و واردات را به همراه دارد

Using a panel data, this study examines the effect of FDI on exports, import and net-export of Iran with its 11 selected partners over the period 1994-2008 employing the gravity model and the GLS method. The results suggest that the sign of all the coefficients of variables are consistent with theoretical expectations. FDI has a significant negative effect on Iran's exports and net exports, but the effect of this variable on import is positive and significant. Also Iran's GDP and the GDP of trading partners have positive effects on exports and net-exports. It is also observed that the geographical distance ( one of the standard variable in the gravity model), has negative impact on exports, imports and net exports of Iran. This can be due to the high transport costs therefore, this variable has negative effects on the volume of exports and import
