حلقه برلنی‌ها را که گروهی از روشنفکران ایرانی مقیم برلین بودند، می‌توان از تاثیرگذارترین گروه‌های روشنفکری تاریخ معاصر ایران دانست.این اندیشمندان براساس تاثیرپذیری از حال و هوای فکری اروپا مروج مفاهیمی چون «اخذ تمدن از غرب»، «نخبه‌گرایی»، «ضرورت تعلیم و تربیت عمومی»، «ضرورت دولت مقتدر و آمرانه» و تکیه بر «ناسیونالیسم» و «زبان فارسی» در جهت تجدد و پیشرفت ایران بودند. اما براساس شرایط جامعه و پایین بودن سطح دانش عمومی، تعلیم و تربیت عمومی و ارتقای آگاهی را به عنوان اولین و مهم ترین اصل از اصول ترقی به رسمیت شناختند و به نظام آموزشی توجه ویژه‌‌ای نشان دادند.در این پژوهش، اندیشه برلنی ها در مورد اهمیت و ضرورت تعلیم و تربیت عمومی به عنوان راهکاری برای رفع عقب ماندگی ایران در طی سالهای جنگ جهانی اول تا اوایل حکومت رضاشاه پهلوی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است و سعی براین است با استفاده از روش توصیفی- تبیینی و با تکیه بر آراء و اندیشه های روشنفکران ایرانی مقیم برلین مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گیرد.

Abstract The Berlin circle, a group of Iranian intellectuals living in Berlin, can be considered one of the most influential intellectual groups in the contemporary history of Iran.Influenced by the European intellectual climate, these intellingentsia promote concepts such as “civilization from the West”, “elitism”, “the need for public education”, “ the necessity of strong and authoritarian government” and the reliance on “ nationalism” for modernity. And progress was from Iran.However, based in the conditions of society and the low level of public knowledge, they recognized public education and awareness raising as the first and most important principles of progress and paid special attention to the educational system. In this study, the idea of Berliners about the importance and necessity of public education as a solution to overcome Iran’s backwardness during the years of World War I to the early reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi has been studied. And it tries to be analyzed using a descriptive- explanatory method and relying on the opinions and thoughts of Iranian intellectuals living in Berlin.
