Since the emersion of primal humans on earth, there is a struggle between the two genders named male and female. One can witness this struggle in the evalution of their power, identity and also possession. According of his physical attributes, male gender as alwalys tried to show his superiority and predominance in all fields in opposition to female gender. These struggles intensified over the centuries and therefore found its way into the scope of literature. Female gender became an interesting topic to the authors. Everyone tried to categorized women. Especially women which categorized as fatales attracted more attention amongst the authors of 19th and 20th. Sadegh Chubak and Emile Zola, two authors from two different culthures, have used two female characters named Gohar and Nana in their works as fatale women. These authors depicted and criticized the true picture of their society using these two female characters. This should be mentioned that they introduced these two females as symbols of womens position in their time.

از زمان پیدایش اولین انسان ها بر روی زمین نوعی کشمکش بین دو جنس بشر یعنی زن و مرد وجود دارد .این کشمکش را در ارزیابی قدرت، هویت و همچنین مالکیتشان می توان مشاهده کرد .با توجه به ویژگی های فیزیکی مرد، جنس مذکر همیشه سعی داشه که برتری اش را نسبت به زن در تمامی زمینه ها نشان دهد .این درگیری ها در طی قرن ها تشدید پیدا کرد و وارد محدوده ی ادبیات نیز شد .جنس زن تبدیل به یک موضوع بسیار جالب برای نویسندگان شد .هر کس سعی کرد که زن را در دسته های مختلفی طبقه بندی کند .بخصوص زن در دسته ی فتانه که وجه بیشتری از نویسندگان قرن نوزده و بیست را جلب کرد .صادق چوبک و امیل زول، دو نویسنده از دو فرهنگ کاملا متفاوت، در آثارشان از دو زن، گوهر و نانا به عنوان زنان فتانه استفاده کردند .این دو نویسنده به کمک این دو زن حقایق جامعه شان را به تصویر کشیده و نقد کردند .بایستی اشاره کرد که آنها را مانند نمونه هایی از موقعیت زنان عصر خود معرفی کردند
