A textbook for a one-semester graduate or advanced undergraduate course, which marks the advanced material in each chapter that can be left out of an undergraduate course. Assumes a working knowledge of the computer language, but appends a brief introduction. Emphasizes the derivation of a variety of numerical methods and their application in solving chemical engineering problems. The algorithms encompass linear and nonlinear algebraic equations, eigenvalue problems, finite difference methods, and other tools.
