Through qualitative interviews of twenty high school youth pastors, this study sought to explore what intergenerational ministry implementations are currently being used in American youth ministry. Fourteen were discovered; eight involved students serving within church (or on mission activities) while six were deliberately intergenerational gatherings or meetings. Among the fourteen, the two most commonly reported were (1) utilizing students in children's ministry/VBS (75%) and (2) offering intergenerational mission trips (60%). This research also reported the implementations' observed impact upon Christian maturity and church engagement among high school students and sought to discover their observed impact upon church attendance among high school students and graduates.
